So Christmas has come and gone...such a build-up and then...gone. My Christmas was a little different this year. I think in my 25 years of existance I have never once missed a Christmas Eve/Christmas morning with my family. Even when I lived in Dallas, I was always home. This year, however.....I missed Christmas Eve and most of Christmas day. I arrived at my parents' house at 7pm. Here's the story. My boyfriend was in Kansas and had been away from me for 1 month...which is entirely too long....so I worked things out with both of my jobs so I could drive there and spend a couple of days with him and his family. I left Amarillo on Monday, Dec 21 and the plan was to return back to Texas on Thursday, the 24. My mom sent me an email early Monday morning telling me that maybe I should tell Ryan that I wouldn't be coming to Kansas because the news was saying that it would be horrible winter storms weather. I didn't listen to my mom and like 90% of the time that I do something that she advises me not to do...she is right. I got stuck in Kansas, the weather was horrible...but I still had a great time..Ryan's family is great and they treat me wonderful. We ended up leaving on Friday, which was still a very bad idea because we drove for about 2 hours in a white out....man I was scared! We made it in one piece thank the Lord and we had a great time with my family as well!

My little Vacation
This week was a great week for me. My old roomate from Dallas, Savannah, came to visit me. We had such a good time, it's a little bit of a blurr...but definitely a good time! I told her to be prepared....that it was going to be like Vegas in Amarillo. As most of ya'll know I have been extremely busy with school and two jobs. Weeelllll...school ended for me on Monday, December 8 and I took off work from both jobs because what would Savannah do while I was at work? Her vacation actually gave me a little vacation, and it was so super nice! I took her to The Big Texan and to Cadillac Ranch....and of course Taco Villa. She grew up around Lubbock so she knows all about the Villa and misses it in Dallas just like everyone else whose been introduced to it. We had fun at the Texan and we had fun spray paintin' some cadillacs. She left on Thursday night and it was sad...but I am super glad and thankful that she came...it was so nice catching up.

Halloween
Usually I try and go all out on Halloween...get a bad A costume and do my hair amazingly cool and lots of makeup. This year, however I waited until the last minute. I wasn't in to it at all for some reason. Normally I am all over websites trying to find a costume that no one has seen or been before and have everything lined up weeks before the spooky night. We are told to dress up at work on the day of Halloween so a costume was definitely a must. I had to be at work at 11 AM that morning so I woke up early and went to the store and got a costume literally an hour before I had to be at work. I got one that was on sale and it actually turned out being pretty cool. Everyone loved it. It was called "Texas Hold 'em". I am going to try and post the pic that I took with my phone but I don't know for sure if I know how. So work ended at 5 and all I wanted to do was take the damn thing off. I had a couple of party's to go to and I didn't want to continue to wear mine.......bbbuuuuutttt... I didn't want to spend any more money on another costume. My boyfriends costume idea had failed so we were both in the same boat. We went to dinner and thought about what we wanted to do...had some drinks....had slow service...so by the time we finally got out of Olive Garden we decided to hit up good ol wal-mart. Didn't have crap...but we did happen to put on a couple of masks that we pretty cool....just playin around...and ended up deciding to be bank robbers together. Turned out to be really fun, really cool, and really cheap. The masks were $1 and we bought 2 $1 toboggans and then just dressed in all black. Oh and we bought some capguns..this was Ryan's favorite part! I will have to post those pictures when I am at home because I didn't take one with my phone only my camera. Anyways the night turned out to be really fun.

Welcome Amanda
What is up bloggers! Here I am to join the circle. I know that you all have to be so very excited to read what goes on in my crazy/fun/wild/busy/drunk/partyin' world! The real reason I decided to start doing this is because I got a new job. Now at this new job I get pretty stinkin bored, ok maybe that's an understatement.... I started part time at a law firm in downtown Amarillo as a receptionist. I was really bored the other day and was going through some old emails and found one that my sister Marie had sent me along long time ago when she first started blogging and was like "oh yeah, there is something for me to do" which actually gave me something to do for a good hour because I then read everyone elses that I knew. I could probably waste a lot of time on my facebook or myspace or youtube but of course those sites are blocked from me. So there is a good chance that I will be posting blogs every Monday/Wednesday/Fridays.
My life has actually been sooooooo-uh-oooooo busy. I literally work 7 days a week and go to school. I have actually been pretty cranky today because I closed Hummers last night bartending so I got home at 2am then had to be at the law firm at 9am this morning and get to go straight back to Hummers to close the bar again tonight...and wait I am not done..open Hummers in the morning... I tried to get someone to close tonight for me so maybe I could get off around 9 or 10 instead of 2, but of course I can't get a favor. Ok...whew I'll stop,...I am over it cant ya tell ;)
Yesterday I got to watch my beautiful baby niece for a chunk of the day so my sister Karen could go run errands and not expose Kambrie to all of the yucky germs that are all over this city. It was awesome. I was nervous at first that she would cry and scream and freak out on me but she didnt..not even close...she is a wonderful baby. She was 1 month old yesterday. I cant wait till I get to watch her again.
